Company Profile NZ Marine Turbochargers Ltd specialises in the service and repair of all marine turbochargers. The business was originally established as New Zealand Marine Turbochargers Ltd. Today, this Company is the largest repairer of marine engine turbochargers in New Zealand.  NZ Marine Turbochargers Ltd is in a unique position. It is one of only a few companies worldwide who service marine turbochargers of all sizes. Lloyds Register Quality Assurance has approved NZ Marine Turbochargers Ltd service to ISO 9001:2000 standard, and it is the only ISO accredited marine turbocharger repairer in New Zealand. Our People... Hans Hans has worked from 1969 till 1984 as a qualified marine engineer for the then Nedlloyd Lines in the Netherlands. He has served all over the world on general cargo ships, container ships of unlimited tonnage and horse power, as well as an oil drilling ship. Since immigrating to NZ in 1984 he has been a Chief Engineer on fishing vessels operating worldwide. This included factory trawlers, super seiners and a long liner. On October 29, 2004 Hans purchased NZMT which put an end to his sea-going career. Keith Keith has previously worked as an engineering and maintenance person in the marine and fishing industry for many years.  He then moved on to servicing small turbochargers for the next 8 years, with both in-house training and NZQA qualifications, before joining our company as a member of our marine turbocharger service team.  Keith has an extensive knowledge of the small turbocharger business and is now also a member of the team servicing the large ship turbochargers.  Keith established himself as a balancing technician using the equipment as shown in this photograph. Romel Romel joined the Company in January 2010, from his homeland The Philippines. Romel is a fully trained turbocharger technician. His role with our company is service technician specializing in the large marine and industrial turbochargers of all makes and models. His position takes him around the country and overseas to service turbochargers. Sandra Sandra has been with NZ Marine Turbochargers Ltd for 10 years working in the office and is often your first point of contact with the company.  She is the Office Manager responsibile for the smooth running of our company, and is also the Quality Manager of our ISO Management System. Abhilash Abhilash joined our Company in June 2006 as our Northern Territory Senior Service Technician.  He has been trained by ABB India, ABB Switzerland and more recently has trained in the United Kingdom for Siemens Napier Turbochargers.  Abhilash has also received training from Caterpillar India in heavy diesel machinery and fuel equipment. Steven Steven joined our company in March 2006. Steven has received extensive training in all makes and models of turbochargers and most recently attended the intensive training course for MAN Turbochargers in Augsburg, Germany.  Steven is now a fully qualified Turbocharger Technician and Dynamic Balancing Technician based in our Auckland branch.
